Benin’s electronic visa process moves the application online, but it still depends on ordinary travel-document accuracy. The system begins with email and passport data, continues through personal and travel information, and ends with payment and status tracking.
The application, payment and status tracking are handled online. That removes the need to treat the application as a paper form, but it makes data accuracy more important because the process is automated.
Benin explicitly says an issued eVisa cannot normally be modified. A careful review before submission is therefore part of the process, not an optional extra.
The process begins with an email address, passport number and passport expiry date. The applicant then completes personal, eVisa, travel and passport information.
The intended entry date deserves special attention: Benin says it becomes the start date of visa validity.
An electronic authorization does not replace the passport used for the journey. Keep the travel document consistent from application through check-in and entry.
If the passport is replaced after the visa is issued, do not assume the electronic authorization automatically follows the new document.
